Outstanding Vocalist Award

The UW-Eau Claire Music Department will offer $1,500.00 in Choral Scholarship(s) at the festival to qualifying high school senior members of the Festival Choir. The vocalist should prepare a memorized classical solo for the audition. The Voice/Choral Faculty will determine the scholarship recipient(s) from among the participants. The outstanding vocalist(s) will perform his/her solo at the Festival Concert on Saturday evening. The recipient(s) is required to participate in a choral ensemble at UW-Eau Claire during the 2009-2010 year in order to receive the Choral Scholarship.

The following faculty members will hear the auditions:

Mitra Sadephour, soprano
Jessica Riley, mezzo-soprano
Daniel Newman, tenor
Mark Mowry, tenor
Alan Rieck, choral conductor

Please complete the Outstanding Vocalist Award audition application form and submit by October 1. Auditions will be scheduled during the morning of Saturday, October 11. It is in the student's best interest for your high school to provide their own accompanist.
