As an alumnus of UW-Eau Claire, Charles C. Vue joined the Office of Multicultural Affairs (OMA) at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire in 1998. He provides supplemental counseling services with regards to academic, personal, social, cultural, financial, career and interpersonal concerns for students of color, particularly Southeast Asian students. Charles also serves as a liaison for students of color with faculty and staff within the university regarding retention efforts and academic support services. A priority is to advocate for equitable and effective learning systems for students of color on campus.
Charles is an active community member, taking part in the vitality and dynamics of the Hmong and Western communities here in the Chippewa Valley. He and his wife Kaying, also an alumnus, have three children; two sons and a daughter. In addition, Charles is currently an elected School Board Commissioner for the Eau Claire Area School District. He is proud to call Eau Claire home since 1978.
