1st Place

Class AAA

Class AAA First Place
In the large school division, AAA, The Deriving Force from Eau Claire Memorial was the first place winner. The Deriving Force team, sponsored by Deb Smeija, featured Tommy Kokemoor, Brad Haas, Elizabeth Westendorf, Katie Johnston, Nolan Kriener, and Kevin Parker.

Class AA

Class AA First Place
In the medium school AA division team event, an Acquinas High School team, Aquinas Axes, took first place. Sponsored by Chuck Schmidt, the Axes members include Judit Wodzak, Adam Fiegen, Mike Hagan, Kyle Thicke, Bethany Schmidt, and Taylor Boland.

Class A First Place
The Binary High Fives, a team from Regis High School took first place honors in the small school division. Billy Ogden, Jackie Kapla, Heekyung Lim, Phil Bergman, Steve Bye, and Dominick Pattermann formed the team with Sue Garcia as team sponsor.

 

2nd Place

Class AAA

Class AAA Second Place
The Chippewa Falls High School team, The Cardinal Numbers, sponsored by Laura Jenson, took second place.Team members were Jeremy Facklam, Thomas Nevins, Jasper Arneberg, Jun Ha Kwon, Austin Birch, and Kyle Crocker.

Class AA

Class AA Second Place
Taking second place in Class AA was Viroqua Vectors, a team from Viroqua High Schoo sponsored by John Lendosky. Julie Mulvaney-Kemp, Taylor Keesler, David King, Cosette Henden, Andrew Nordberg, and Katie Wendorf comprised the Vectors teaml.

Class A

Class A Second Place
Second place in division A went to McDonell High School team, Mackmaticians I. The team, sponsored by Tony Reiter, included Carrie Anders, David Plendl, Ben Ochs, Mary Polus, Nastacia Meinen, and Amanda Bohl.

 

Individual Awards

1st Place

Class AAA

Isaac Schemn
Isaac Schemn of Eau Claire Memorial took first place in Class AAA individual honors and was offered a UW-Eau Claire scholarship for 4-credit hours.

Class AA

Katie Wendorf
Katie Wendorf of Viroqua High School took first place in Class AA individual honors and was offered a 4-credit hour scholarship.

Class A

Heekyung Lim
First place and a 4-credit hour scholarship to UW-Eau Claire in the individual awards for small schools, division A, was earned by Heekyung Lim of Regis High School.

 

2nd Place

Class AAA

Jun Ha Kwon
Jun Ha Kwon of Chippewa Falls High School took second place and was offered a 3-credit hour UW-Eau Claire scholarship.

Class AA


Shiyu Zang of Mondovi High School took second place and was offered a 3-credit hour scholarship.

Class A

Kyle Osborne
Kyle Osborne, a student from the Math & Science Academy in Woodbury received a 3-credit hour scholarship for second place in Class A.

 

3rd Place

Class AAA

Katie Johnston
Katie Johnston, from Eau Claire Memorial High School, took third place and was offered a 2-credit hour UW-Eau Claire scholarship.

Class AA

Kyle Thicke
Kyle Thicke of Aquinas High School was offered a 2-credit hour scholarship for placing third in Class AA.

Class A


Ben Ockhs of McDonell High School and Austin Ransde from Augusta High School tied for third and each received a 2-credit hour scholarship.

 

4th Place

Class AAA

Elizabeth Westendorf and Kevin Parker
Kevin Parker and Elizabeth Westendorf, both from Eau Claire Memorial High School, tied for fourth place and were each offered a 1-credit hour UW-Eau Claire scholarship.

Class AA

Kyle, Alexander, and Taylor tied
A three-way tie for Fourth Place in Class AA. resulted in 1-credit hour scholarships going to: Kyle Gustafson from Ellsworth HS, Alexander Davis from Altoona HS, and Taylor Boland from Aquinas HS.

Class A

Phil Bergman, Evin See, and Paul Buchmann
A four-way tie for Fourth Place in Class A. resulted in 1-credit hour scholarships going to: Tyrel Hess from Agusta HS (not pictured), Phil Bergman from Regis HS, and Evin See and Paul Buchmann both from McDonell HS.

 

6th Place

Class AAA
