Liberal Arts Math Major at UWEC
At UWEC, you can be a mathematics major with a liberal arts emphasis. This is a standard, 36 credit major, and requires a 24 credit minor.
Students take the liberal arts core: the calculus sequence, Real Analysis I, Linear Algebra, and Abstract Algebra I. This core consists of 22 credits.
Students then take Real Analysis II or Abstract Algebra II or Topology, and at least 11 elective credtis at the upper level--see Liberal Arts Emphasis (Code 180-201) of this excerpt from the most current UWEC Undergraduate Catalog.
