Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must:
- be of a sophomore or junior standing and have declared a math major,
- be a full-time student (12 or more credits), and
- have a minimum of a 3.0 overall grade point average.
Students in secondary education will be given preference. Financial need is a consideration.
Application Procedure
- Complete an application form. Forms are available in the Mathematics Department Office (HHH 508) or online
. - Brief statement of career objectives.
- Applicant must have one letter of support from math faculty (not necessarily from UWEC). Send to Chair of the Department of Mathematics Scholarship Committee, Department of Mathematics, UW-Eau Claire, Eau Claire, WI, 54702.

Selection Procedure
Demonstrated performance and potential in mathematics education. This may include: grade point average, career objectives, communication skills, creativity, ingenuity, perseverance, enthusiasm for mathematics and, in particular, mathematics education.

Notification
The recipient of the scholarship will receive official notification and be honored at the University Awards Banquet. The Foundation and financial Aids Offices will also be notified. the scholarship will be credited to the student's account at the beginning of the fall semester.
