The links below lead you to websites of academic interest in the following disciplines. Some have been gleaned from UW-Eau Claire faculty recommendations, others from reviews in the collection development literature. These are non-commercial sites.

- Educator's Desk Reference: Developed by the Department of Education, a compilation of over 3000 resources of educational interest
- BigChalk (ProQuest K-12) : By the Education Network. Billed as "Homework Central: The world's best study & research help!" There are sections for teachers, librarians, and elementary, middle school, and high school pupils.
- Carol Hurst's Children's Literature Site: Created by Carol Hurst and Rebecca Otis, the site includes a collection of reviews to selected children's books, subject lists, curriculum suggestions and professional articles written by the site creators.
- CHILDE: Children's Historical Literature Disseminated throughout Europe: A collection of children's books, published in Europe before 1890.
- The Condition of Education, 2000 -- NCES [.pdf, 6150K]: An Indicator report summarizing the state of education, monitoring developments and showing trends in Education, from the National Center for Education Statistics for 2000.

- Eisenhower National Clearinghouse for Mathematics and Science Education: Thousands of curricular resources, contained within four primary areas: Web Links, Education Topics, Curriculum Resources, and Professional Development
- EURYDICE: The Information Network on Education in Europe: The homepage of EURYDICE, available in German, English and French, includes information, publications, news releases and more.
- History of American Education Web Project: A collection of undergraduate papers prepared for fulfillment of course requirements at Eastern Illinois University.
- International Education Indicators: A collection of comparative data on the state of education internationally. Primarily aimed at comparing the US education system with countries around the world.

Links to a number of useful resources on literacy. - National Science Digital Library: The NSDL is intended to support science education at all levels, from pre-kindergarten to post-doctoral, including mathematics, the sciences, engineering and technology.
