Web Resources by Discipline

The links below lead you to websites of academic interest in the following disciplines. Some have been gleaned from UW-Eau Claire faculty recommendations, others from reviews in the collection development literature. These are non-commercial sites.

Chemistry:

• American Chemical Society (ACS): An electronic link to Chem Abstracts, includes a chemical reaction database, SciFinder, STN on the web and CA selects, which requires a password, and the CAS Learning Center.
• Links for Chemists: A link to the Chemistry section of WWW Virtual Library, University of Liverpoole, includes chemistry resources on the Web, companies, literature, information, software and an alphabetical topics list.
• Chemistry Index: The table of contents from Chemistry Index, Institute of Chemistry, Freie Universitat Berlin, predominately German, offering limited access to resources.
• Facility for the analysis of chemical thermodynamics: Online thermodynamic modeling.
• NIST virtual library [chemistry] The Chemistry page is organized thematically as lists of databases, bibliographies, NIST data, links to other organizations, and "Other Web Resources," a grab bag of chemistry-related sites.
• Periodical Table of the Elements: An interactive table developed by Paul Kremer, while a student at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology at Zurich.
