Newbery Medal Winners
The Newbery Medal was named for eighteenth-century British bookseller John Newbery. It is awarded annually by the Association for Library Service to Children, a division of the American Library Association, to the author of the most distinguished contribution to American literature for children. All of the Newbery Medal award winners are located in the Children’s Book Collection (CBC) in the Instructional Media Center (IMC) on the lower level. Unless otherwise noted, all items will be shelved alphabetically by author’s last name in the CBC Fiction section.
