Visiting the library
As a distance education student, you may not be required to visit the library, but you are always welcome! If you plan to visit the library, consider the following:
Checking out materials
When visiting McIntyre Library, you must have a UW-Eau Claire Blugold card to check out materials. For information on getting a Blugold card please contact the Blugold Card Office. (Please note that the Blugold office has extended hours at the beginning of each term and is willing to make appointments outside of regular business hours to accommodate DE students).
The library has computers available for use, including computer labs on the 3rd & 4th floors. You need your UW-Eau Claire username and PIN to logon to these computers. Most computers have Microsoft Office software (such as Word, PowerPoint, Excel) in addition to Internet access. A limited number of computers are available for the general public and do not require UW-Eau Claire logon. More information on campus computer labs.
Printing, scanning & photocopying
Printers are available in the library and in computer labs, but you must supply your own paper. Scanners are available in the library and computer labs as well. Photocopy machines are available in the library, and will accept coins (.10/page) or Blugold cards (.08/page). Library staff do not provide change, but several change machines are available in the library. See Blugold Card Office for information on depositing funds into your Blugold account.
