Faculty, Emeriti, Academic Staff, and Classified Staff upon presentation of their personal UW-Eau Claire identification cards, may have a semester long check out of books from the 3rd, 4th, 5th floor stacks and storage.
The 1992 edition of the Faculty and Academic Staff Handbook p. 6.6 states:
Faculty and staff may charge out regular material for one semester, renewable for an additional semester. All material must be either returned or renewed at the end of the semester. Following the close of each spring semester, any items neither renewed nor returned will be presumed lost and will be charged to the faculty or staff member. Materials circulated under special circumstances (as for use in extension courses, workshops, etc.) and subsequently lost will be charged against the department involved.
Emeriti records need to be updated every two years at the Circulation Desk.
Spouses with their proper UW-Eau Claire identification card obtained at the Blugold Card Office in Davies Center, may check out these materials according to student loan periods.
LTE's, after employment of at least one year, may receive permission from Human Resources to obtain a Blugold Card. Upon presentation of the card at the Circulation Desk, they will be registered for library checkout privileges.

The Library staff shall send notices to faculty members, at the end of each semester in which they have checked out library materials, stating that the materials are due for return or to be checked out again. Each August, the Library staff shall prepare a notice to be sent to faculty holding overdue library materials.
