Faculty and Academic Staff currently employed at UW-Eau Claire may designate up to two people per semester to use the proxy service. This proxy authorization will permit faculty and academic staff to send a student assistant or the department program assistant to the library to pick up materials to be used by the faculty/academic staff member. The designated proxy will be able to use his/her personal Blugold card to do the checkout. Faculty and Academic Staff wishing to initiate a proxy authorization should fill out a Proxy Authorization Form (.pdf) and turn in a signed print copy at the circulation desk.
Faculty and staff can have library materials delivered to their department and have previously delivered materials picked up by using the Deliver It service.
McIntyre Library now provides free library cards to children of UW-Eau Claire faculty and staff. Cards will be given to children ages 12-17 and are valid for one year; these cards are renewable. Parents and legal guardians will be responsible for all items checked out on their child's card, and are asked to observe the same loan periods for library materials as undergraduate students and community members. Universal Borrowing and Interlibrary Loan services are not extended to child card holders. Faculty and staff wishing to obtain a card for their child should fill out the Faculty/Staff Dependent Registration Form (.pdf) and turn in a signed copy to the circulation desk.
