Along with having many general access computer labs with Internet access, UW-Eau Claire has made accessing the Internet even easier by making a wireless network available for faculty, staff, and students to use while on campus.
In order to connect to the wireless network, devices need to be registered. Information on registering devices can be found below:
- Mobile Devices: Smartphones and Tablets
- Computers (Laptops and Desktops, running Windows or Mac OS X)
- Gaming Consoles (Including portable gaming devices)
- Streaming Devices (such as Apple TV, Roku, Chromecast)
The wireless network at UWEC is currently broadcasting at the 802.11N standard, with extensive coverage of all buildings and even some outdoor locations, such as Bollinger Field and Carson Park.
