I'm having trouble accessing D2L.

  1. Log in to D2L.
  2. Run a system check.
  3. Make any necessary changes.
  4. Contact the Help Desk (836-5711) if the problem persists.

Why can't my students see my D2L course?

Students can only see active D2L courses in their course listings. To activate a course, follow the instructions on this page or watch the Activating a Course video .

What browser should I use with D2L?

Why are my D2L pop-up windows blocked?

The pop-up blocker may be turned on. You can add D2L to the list of allowed sites in your browser. These external pages explain how to add a site in Firefox, Safari, and Internet Explorer.

To allow an individual pop-up window without turning off your pop-up blocker, press [Ctrl] and open the pop-up.

The text on my screen is too small. How can I change it?

  1. From your home page, in the upper right corner of the mini bar at the top of the page click the dropdown arrow next to your name and select Account Settings.


  2. In the Font Settings section use the Font Size dropdown menu to choose your desired font size.
    Note: As you adjust the font size you will be able to see the changes displayed in the Preview box.

  3. Select the desired font size » click Save or Save and Close.

Can I change the navigation bar?

Yes. You can add tools and external links to the navigation bar, and remove tools you don't use. Refer to the Navigation Bar documentation for details or watch the Editing the Navbar video.

How can I add a picture to my profile?

  1. Your photo should be saved in jpg/jpeg format on your computer or network drive or external drive.

  2. From My Home, in the upper right corner of the minibar at the top of the page, press the arrow next to your name and select Profile from the dropdown menu:


  3. The Edit My User Profile page appears. Press Change Picture.

  4. Select Browse to navigate to the desired photo and press Upload.

  5. Press Save or Save and Close at the bottom of the page to save your new profile picture.
