The LTS Media Production Audio unit, located in Schofield 30, provides designing, installation, testing, and maintenance of large area sound systems (i.e., Zorn Arena, Gantner Concert Hall, University Theatres), studio and off-air recording, sound track production, and duplication. On-location audio services are available for concerts, speakers, and other special events.
These services are provided on a non-chargeback basis when prepared for and used by faculty and academic staff for direct classroom instruction. When prepared for other purposes, users are charged a discounted rate for faculty, campus departments, offices, and students.

Recording of Audio Broadcasts
Radio broadcasts can be recorded to cassette tape for instructional purposes.
Soundtracks, Mixing and Editing
LTS houses a soundproof booth to record narrations which can be used stand alone or in conjunction with other media forms. In addition to recording and editing, soundtrack production often includes mixing voice with sound effects and/or music. Music choices are affected by the availability of copyright clearances.
Sound Reinforcement
Sound amplification can be provided for events on campus in many locations. This service is no longer handled directly by LTS staff, but is now outsourced to an off-campus provider. For additional information, see Sound Reinforcement Services.
Consulting for Sound Problems
LTS Audio staff are available for consultation to help resolve problems related to sound and sound reproduction.
