Microsoft Office 2013 

 

Upgrade to Microsoft Office 2013 on Windows-based Computers


This past summer, all Windows-based classroom and lab computers were upgraded to Microsoft Office 2013. Software within the Microsoft Office Suite includes Access, Excel, InfoPath Designer, InfoPath Filler, Lync, OneNote, Outlook, PowerPoint, Project, Publisher, Visio, and Word.

If you wish to upgrade your office computer to Microsoft 2013, you may do so using the UWEC Application Catalog. If you need assistance using the UWEC Application Catalog, visit this LTS Online Help documentation.    
 
If you teach a course with curriculum utilizing the Microsoft Office Suite, please take some time to verify that your textbooks and the curriculum align with Office 2013 or plan for updates. Free Microsoft Office


Faculty, staff, and students now have the ability to download one free copy of a variety of products, including Office 2013 and Windows 7 or 8, to use on a personally-owned device. This replaces the previous Work at Home software that could be obtained through our Help Desk for current faculty and staff.  Because the students agreed to help with funding for our Lab Anywhere environment (virtual.uwec.edu), current students can also download a free copy of Office and Windows on one of their personally-owned devices as well.

Hint: Faculty and staff may see multiple tabs in their account for faculty/staff/students. The software they are most likely looking for will appear under the Student tab. If they registered as faculty or staff as opposed to student, they must contact the Help Desk to have the Student software section added to their account.
