Northwest Regional Instructional Technology Showcase
On Friday February 22, UW-Stout is hosting the *free* Northwest Regional Instructional Technology Showcase. Come see your colleagues share their learning technology expertise! In the past, we've called this "Tools for Teaching" here at UW-Eau Claire - it's now taken off and is a collaboration of Eau Claire, Stout, River Falls, Superior, & UW Colleges. The keynote by Dr. Richard Mayer is titled "What Instructors Should Know About Taking an Evidence-Based Approach to Multimedia Learning." For more information or to register, visit the UW-Stout webpage. PLEASE NOTE: Registration is required by Thursday, February 14, so don't delay!
Spring Semester Workshops
Building Information Technology Skills (BITS) will be offering another round of workshops throughout the spring semester. Included will be ongoing CommonSpot Assisted Work Times for those who need one-on-one assistance with their CommonSpot webpage, as well as ongoing MyBlugold Assisted Work Times for one-on-one help with a MyBlugold site. A new Data Warehouse training series begins in February, and in the month of April there will also be workshops to guide you through the process of creating a research poster for CERCA (previously Student Research Day). Check out the full descriptions and reserve a seat at our online registration site: http://bitstraining.apps.uwec.edu. If you don't see a topic you are interested in or if none of the times work with your schedule, just email us at firstname.lastname@example.org to request a customized appointment for your department, your office, or just you! We hope to see you soon.
