Maria Carvalho

Maria Carvalho is an International Student Adviser in the Center for International Education at UW-Eau Claire.  Her diverse background has led her to a professional opportunity working with incoming international students studying at UW-Eau Claire.  Though born in Kenya, Maria's originally from India, yet grew up in Eau Claire, where she now calls "home".  Maria graduated from UW-Eau Claire with a Bachelor of Social Work, majored in Latin American Studies, and minored in Spanish.  She also studied and worked in Costa Rica and Nicaragua, which allowed her to gain a greater appreciation for Latin America.
