Glad to hear you are interested in the UWEC Community Fitness Program!
Highlights
Documents
The Community Fitness Program is conducted in the McPhee-Olson complex on the upper campus of the University of Wisconsin - Eau Claire. The
fee for the program is $75 per semester (checks payable to UWEC). The program runs from 5:30-8:00am Monday, Wednesday, Friday
for approximately three months (one semester). The links below go indepth about the program. The students, your supervisors, are required to be
present from 6:00-7:45am, but participants can access the building earlier and start walking at 5:30am. We encourage participants to come all 3 days
per week to maximize the benefits of the program, but some can only make it 2 days per week because of work, etc. We don't have a policy about
dropping a pariticpant if they miss sessions, however, we will call to inquire if everything is alright if they do miss a few sessions in a row
(no health problems, etc.)
Particulars
Within this section are four documents that will help us get you started safely and effectively.
As a next step you can do one of 3 things:
- Bring completed forms to the first session. We meet Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays between 6 and 8 a.m. on the Olson indoor track. Ask for Don Bredle or Lance Dalleck.
- Mail them prior to your first visit.
- Call to set up a time to come in and visit before actually starting the program.
Whichever way you choose, the students and leaders will work with you to come up with an exercise prescription that should help you make
progress toward your goals. We will either exercise right with you, as time permits, or at least supervise your work-outs.
