Club Announcement - November 12 - Testing & Equipment Forms
Congratulations to all those who placed at the Musa Challenge this past weekend! I'll be updating a list of our winners here very soon!
This weekend, a whole lot of us are going down to Madison to test (which is awesome!) which means two very important things:
- Equipment forms are due this Thursday, the 13th. If you haven't given your order form to Erik by then, you'll have to wait an extra month to get your equipment.
- Testing forms! You are responsible for bringing your testing form down with you on Saturday. If you forget, you will owe pushups to get a blank one from Ali.
If you need either of these forms, you can find blank copies here.
Club Announcement - October 30 - Events!
This Saturday, right here in the McPhee Wrestling Room, Master Kijek is coming up to show us some super-cool, awesome and groovy stuff. Be there! Cost should not be a prohibitive factor! Talk to Mr. Wittig regarding any monetary queries.
Also, next Saturday, November 8th, Instr. Sirney is hosting the Musa Challenge at the Minneapolis Dojang. Here's some more info and the registration form.
Website Update - October 8, 2008 - Rules updated
New pages for sparring and grappling rules have been added and linked from the "What We Do" page.

What is Hwa Rang Do?

The instruction included martial arts, religious training, intellectual enhancement, and artistic pursuits. The sport form, Tae Soo Do is a modernized form of Hwa Rang Do that can be taught to everyone as an undergraduate program to the comprehensive and diverse Hwa Rang Do training.
How does Hwa Rang Do fit into UWEC?
The Hwa Rang Do/Tae Soo Do Club is a UWEC student organization that began in 1994 as an extension of the Academy of Hwa Rang Do in Madison. The club currently has approximately 50 members and has been approved as a University Recreation Sports Club, which began in fall of 1999.
An Invitation...
You can read about Hwa Rang Do on this website and through the links we have listed, but it cannot truly be understood without experiencing the training and the people. If you would like to come and see Hwa Rang Do / Tae Soo Do, please feel free to come to a class. You will be received with a warm welcome and a heart-felt greeting.
