Summer Housing Information

If you plan to live on campus during the summer, we have you covered! Housing and Residence Life offers a wide variety of options to fit your needs, and your schedule. Additionally, if you're a Housing and Residence Life employee (working a minimum of 20 hours per week), we offer free summer housing.

Housing Rates

Below you will find a summary of the summer schedule and the associated fees. Please contact the Housing Office at 715.836.3675 for more information. Applications are available starting April 1st in the Housing Office or any of the residence hall front desks.

  • Short Term Rate:
    • 5-24-15 to 6-1-15
    • Double occupancy room: $114.29/per occupant
    • Single occupancy not available.
  • Daily Rates:
    • Double occupancy room: $26/per occupant
    • Single occupancy room: $31
  • Weekly Rates:
    • Double occupancy room: $100/per occupant
    • Single occupancy room: $126
  • Three Week Rates:
    • Double occupancy room: $300/per occupant
    • Single occupancy room: $378
  • Eight Week Rates:
    • Double occupancy room: $674/per occupant
    • Single occupancy room: $845
  • Eleven Week Rates:
    • Double occupancy room: $926.75/per occupant
    • Single occupancy room: $1161.88
  • Summer Sessions:
    • 3 Weeks: May 25 - June 12
    • 8 Weeks: June 15 - August 7
    • 11 Weeks: May 25 - August 7

*Chancellors rates will vary.

FULL PAYMENT is due by June 15, 2015 to avoid additional fees.  Balances remaining after 6-15-15 due date are subject to a $30 administrative service fee and a finance charge of 1% per month.

Hall assignment and confirmation of charges will be provided when you return your completed summer housing application to the Housing Office, Towers 112. Office hours are 7:45 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday.


Meal plans are not available during the summer.

During the summer months, parking can get a bit confusing. Construction projects, summer maintenance and campus events often dictate where you can park. Visit the Parking and Transportation page for information on parking lot locations, hours of enforcement, lot closings and more!

Other Transportation Options

Are you unsure about parking on campus? If so, check out the City of Eau Claire Transit site for information on bus routes, schedules, fees and more! If you're a student, you can enjoy our wonderful transit system at no cost!

If you want to go green, the Chippewa Valley offers an extensive trail system, with access from many points within the city. Visit the City Trail System page to find more information.

Eau Claire is a great place to spend your summer, but sometimes you just want to go home to visit family and friends. When that moment comes, give Zimride a try. Zimride is a fun and easy way to share the seats in your car or catch a ride. With Zimride, you can find UW-Eau Claire friends, classmates, and coworkers going the same way you are.

Campus Life

Just because it's summer doesn't mean UW-Eau Claire isn't an exciting place to be! All summer long the campus has great events taking place. Visit the Events Calendar to find out what's happening.

Community Life
