Purchasing iPad Apps

This page explains how to find, purchase, and redeem a purchased App in iTunes.
Note: You must have a UWEC iTunes Alias Account.

Open iTunes (Start » All Programs » Multimedia » Players » iTunes).
On the left menu, under Store, click iTunes Store.
Search for the app you would like to buy.

Go to https://eform1.uwec.edu/ and login.
Click the Start New Form tab.
Select Learning and Technology Services (LTS) from the dropdown menu.
Click iOS App Store Purchase Request.
For the Application Title field, type in the name of the app exactly as it appears in iTunes.
In the Quantity field, enter the number of copies of the app you are purchasing.
In the Price/Application field, enter the price of one copy of the app.
Use the dropdown boxes to select your account.
Use the dropdown box to indicate whether or not you are an account authorizer; if you are not an account authorizer, select the person who is.
Optional: If you have any notes for the account authorizer or LTS, include them in the Notes text box.
Click the Submit button.
Once approved and purchased, you will receive an email with an app redemption code.

On your iPad, open the App Store app.
Tap the Featured tab.
Scroll to the bottom of the screen.
If the app costs $40.00 or more, make sure you are logged in with your uwecipadXX@uwec.edu Apple ID.
Tap the Redeem button.
Enter the app redemption code.
Tap Redeem.
Your app will now install.

Click the Start New Form tab.
Select Learning and Technology Services (LTS) from the department dropdown menu.
Click iOS App Store Purchase Request.
