Launching your survey involves setting options such as the type of access your respondents will have and who will be able to see the results. You must also open the survey to accept responses and obtain the URL for the survey, which will allow your respondents to access the survey.
WebSurvey survey options give you quite a bit of control over how your survey is administered.
From the My Surveys page, for your survey, click OPTIONS![]()
The Survey Options page appears.
In the General Information section, make any desired changes
NOTES:
If you are using a template for a specific look, use the Template pull-down list to assign the template.
For a description of the options in this section, refer to Survey Options: General Information.
In the Respondent Access Level, select the type of access you want for your respondents
NOTES:
There are three categories offering a total of eight types. You may choose only one of these.
For more information refer to Survey Options: Respondent Access Level.
In the Survey Completion Properties section, make the desired selections
NOTE: These options control what happens and what your respondents see when they click SUBMIT after taking your survey.
In the Navigation Properties section, make the desired selections
NOTE: These options determine the type of navigation that is displayed on your survey pages and what happens when a navigation button is clicked.
In the Hidden Fields section, add the desired hidden fields by clicking CONFIGURE
NOTE: More information is available by clicking CONFIGURE.
In the IP Address Validation section, add an IP address range by clicking CONFIGURE
NOTE: This option allows you to specify the computer(s) which can be used to take the survey. More information is available by clicking CONFIGURE.
In the Numbering Properties section, make the desired selections
NOTE: You cannot control the numbering sequence of the survey questions. Questions start at #1 and are sequentially numbered. If you insert a question into the middle of the survey, the questions following the insertion are re-numbered.
In the Other Administrative Properties section, make the desired selections
In the Administrator Properties section, make the desired changes
NOTE: These options allow you to work collaboratively with one or more people on a single survey.
Click SAVE
You are returned to the My Surveys page
When you are ready to have people take your survey, you must open it.
Deploying your survey creates the link(s) that you provide to respondents so that they may take your survey. The WebSurvey System provides three options for deploying your survey: by sending a link via an email message, placing a link to the survey on your website, and placing a link on your website that opens a new window for the survey.
From the My Surveys page, for the survey you want to deploy, click DEPLOY

In the Email Link section, a URL is provided which can be shared through email.
In the Web Page Link section, the necessary HTML code for placing a link on your web page is provided.
In the Popup Survey Link Invitation section, the necessary HTML code for placing a link to a popup survey on your web page is provided.
Copy the desired information
Click OK
Paste the information into the appropriate location or invitation
