Office 2003 programs provide extensive help within each program. These instructions assume that you have the Office Assistant turned off.
Turning Off the Office Assistant

Right click the Office Assistant » select Options...
The Office Assistant dialog box appears. -
Deselect Use the Office Assistant

Click OK
Using Help Files
-
Open the desired Office 2003 program
-
From the Help menu, select Microsoft (program name) Help
The Help task pane appears. -
In the Search for text box, type a word or phrase for your topic
-
Click START SEARCHING
Results matching your search term(s) appear. -
Select a topic by clicking it once
The Microsoft (program name) Help dialog box appears with the topic displayed. -
When done, close the Microsoft (program name) Help dialog box and Help task pane.
