The LTS Online Help collection is just one of the resources available for you. The following resources are available to you (some resources are only available for University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire faculty, staff, and students).
Help Desks
- LTS Help Desk
The LTS Help Desk provides support for UW-Eau Claire students, faculty and staff for supported software programs. You can call them at 36-5711, stop by their office at Old Library 1144, or send them email at helpdesk@uwec.edu. For more information, check out the LTS Help Desk website.
- General Access Computer Labs Help Desk
The Labs help desk provides support for students, faculty and staff working in the general access computer labs. You can call them at 36-5520 or stop by the desk in Old Library 1108.
- Housing Microcomputer Support
The Housing Help Desk provides support for the students working in the Housing computer labs or living in the residence halls. You can stop by their office Towers 126A or call them at 36-3077. For more information checkout the Housing Microcomputer Support website.

- BITS Workshops for UW-Eau Claire Students
BITS provides FREE workshops for UW-Eau Claire students on a variety of topics including basic Macintosh operations. For more information, see the BITS website.

Macintosh Balloon Help
The Macintosh balloon help is designed to help identify items on the Macintosh screen and provide a brief explanation of the purpose.
To turn on balloon help:

Turn on your Macintosh

From the Balloon menu, select Show Balloons

Point to the item you want balloon help for
A balloon should appear.
To turn off balloon help:
- From the Balloon menu, select Hide Balloons
Macintosh Shortcuts
The shortcuts option on the Help menu is designed to help you work more efficiently. To learn about the shortcuts:

Turn on your Macintosh

From the Balloon menu, select Finder Shortcuts
A page of shortcuts will appear on the screen

To view additional shortcuts, click NEXT or PREVIOUS

When you are done, click the CLOSE box
