This browser does not support basic Web standards, preventing the display of our site's intended design. May we suggest that you upgrade your browser?
When developing web pages or working with web-based tools, e.g., Desire2Learn or WebCT, it can be frustrating when the screen does not reflect your most recent updates and/or changes. To eliminate that problem, you can view the recent updates by reloading your page. Netscape supports two reload options: manual and automatic.
Automatic page reload increases the amount of network traffic because each time a page is accessed, the browser must connect to the server to confirm the page information. With a manual page reload, network traffic is minimized because you request the update when you need it.
You can view the most up-to-date copy of your current page by following one step:
On the Navigation toolbar, click RELOAD CURRENT PAGE![]()
OR
From the View menu, select Reload
The latest version of the page will load.
The browser will accumulate web page copies as you browse the Web and store them on your computer's hard disk called the cache. From time to time, if you forget to manually refresh the page, the page will become outdated. To eliminate this problem, you can check for the latest version of the page each time you return to it.
From the Edit menu, select Preferences...
The Preferences dialog box appears.
In the Category section, expand Advanced by clicking the arrow next to it
Select Cache
The Cache section appears.
From the Compare the page in the cache to the page on the network section, select Every time I view the page.
Click OK
The latest version of the page will now load every time it is accessed.
