This document contains general information regarding the Netscape 7 environment. Taking a moment to review the following sections will allow you to move through Netscape with ease.
The following graphic represents the basic parts of the Netscape 7 environment. As with many other Windows-based programs there are menus and toolbars along with a window displaying the active feature.
Netscape offers five different toolbars, the Navigation Toolbar, the Personal Toolbar, the Tab Bar, the Status Bar, and the Component Bar.
HINT: If you are unsure at any time about what a specific button on a toolbar does, you can hold your pointer over that button and a description box will appear.
The Navigation Toolbar
Allows you to do navigational tasks and includes the Address bar.
The Personal Toolbar
Allows you easy access to frequently used buttons such as Home, Search, Bookmarks, ext.
The Tab Bar
Allows you to have have multiple pages open that you can easily switch between by clicking the associated tab.
The Status Bar
Gives information about your browser, such as cookie notifications, load status information, and working status.
The Component Bar
Allows you to switch between tasks such as browsing, emailing, or instant messaging.
From the View menu, select Show/Hide » the toolbar you would like to show or hide
NOTE: If the toolbar is displayed, a checkmark will appear next to it in the View menu.
