Accessing the Blugold System via the Web

The Blugold System is a menu-driven system that allows all UW-Eau Claire students with Personal Identification Numbers (PIN) to register and access their own records.

Before You Start

In order to use the Web version of Blugold, you must have Java enabled on your browser. If you need more information on how to set these preferences, refer to Internet Explorer: Cookies & Java or Netscape: Cookies & Java.
Both Internet Explorer and Netscape browsers work equally well for viewing and processing requests on Blugold. However, if you will want to print, it is strongly recommended that you use Internet Explorer.
Once you are connected or anytime during your session, if you are not seeing the full Blugold screen, reducing the font size may help. To do this, within the Blugold screen, right click and select Font Size » Smaller or Smallest

Connecting to Blugold

Open your preferred browser
From the UW-Eau Claire Homepage, click Students » Blugold System
Internet Explorer: Once on the Blugold System page, click Blugold on the Web
1. In the Warning Security dialog box, click YES
Netscape: Once on the Blugold System page, click Blugold on the Web
1. In the Java security dialog box, select Remember this decision
2. Click GRANT
3. In the Java security dialog box, select Remember this decision
4. Click GRANT

The Blugold Sign On screen appears.
HINT: If you are not seeing the full Blugold screen within your browser window, reducing the font size may help. To do this, within the Blugold screen, right click and select Font Size » Smaller or Smallest

At the Sign On screen, type your username
Press [Tab]
Type your PIN number
Press [Enter]
NOTE: Always use the [Tab] key to move between input boxes and the [Enter] key to process the page(s).
The Student Options-Main Menu appears with your cursor flashing in the input box at the bottom of your screen.
In the Enter number or letter of your request input box, type the number of your desired menu option
Press [Enter]

Disconnecting from Blugold

At any screen, type X
Press [Enter]
The Logon screen appears, indicating that you have ended your session.
