Many times you will want to select text or an image from a PDF file and copy and paste it into another document or use it again within the same document. With Adobe Acrobat 7.0 this task is simple. This document takes you through the steps to copy and paste text, tables, or images from one document to another or to the same document.
WARNING: Some PDF files are created with security features that prevent others from copying. Before copying and using material you should make sure it is not copyrighted.
Using the Select Tool when selecting text from a PDF file allows you to copy and paste it as editable text into another document.
From the Basic toolbar, select the Select Tool![]()
Select the desired text, table, or image
When you want to use a portion of text, a table, or an image from a PDF file in the same PDF file or in a separate file, for example, a Word file, then the easiest way to do this is to copy and paste it into the document.
From the Edit menu, select Copy ![]()
OR
Press [Ctrl] + [C]
After you copy a portion of text, a table, or an image from a PDF file, you can paste it into another document or into the same document.
Open the document you want to paste the text, table, or image in
OR
Select the location within the same document using the HAND TOOL ![]()
NOTE: If you copy and paste within the same PDF file, the pasted content will be pasted as a text field.
From the Edit menu, select Paste

Press [Ctrl] + [V]
