Named after Katherine Putnam who was the granddaughter of the Eau Claire lumberman who established Putnam Park.

Putnam Hall was built in 1958 and provides accommodations for approximately 96 men and 140 women.

Putnam Hall is located on lower campus, near academic buildings, McIntyre Library, Chippewa River and the Little Niagara Creek. It is also adjacent to Putnam Park, a 333-acre natural reserve.

Putnam Hall organizes a charity fundraiser annually called “Putnam LoveStock” which takes place late in the spring semester. The event is organized and staffed by Putnam Hall’s Hall Council with the support of student organizations, other Residence Halls, and local businesses. Putnam Hall Council chooses a group to sponsor each year.

Feel free to explore Putnam Hall's website and find out what it has to offer. I am sure you can find something that will pique your interest! Should you have any additional questions, please feel free to contact the Putnam Hall Director at 715-836-3442 or email the Housing Webmaster .
