You have several options available when sending messages using Entourage. The options discussed here are applicable to individual messages as you prepare to send them. You can alert your recipient to a high priority message, send a copy of a message to someone without other recipients' knowledge, control when a message is delivered, and forward replies from a message to another email address.
When sending a high priority message, you may want to "flag" the message so the recipient has a visual cue of its importance. With Entourage, you can indicate the level of importance of an email.
From the Navigation pane, click MAIL![]()
Click NEW ![]()
NOTE: For more information, refer to Sending Email Messages.
From the Message menu, select Priority
» select the desired priority level
OR
From the Message toolbar, click PRIORITY » select the desired priority level
To send the message, click SEND ![]()
When composing a message, it is sometimes appropriate to send a blind carbon copy (Bcc), which hides the email addresses and names of certain recipients from all other recipients. For example, if you have a large list of recipients, you can use Bcc so that recipients will not have to scroll through a long header of recipients in order to get to the message. Recipients listed in the To or Cc fields will be unaware that recipients in the Bcc field are also receiving the message.
From the Navigation pane, click MAIL![]()
On the toolbar, click NEW![]()
In the To text box, type the email address(es) of the person(s) you are sending the message to
NOTES:
Addresses in the To text box will be visible to all recipients, but these recipients will not be able to see the addresses entered into the Bcc text box.
If you are entering multiple email addresses, separate each email address with a comma ( , ).
In the Bcc text box, type the email address(es) of the person(s) to receive the blind carbon copy
NOTE: If you are entering multiple email addresses, separate each email address with a comma ( , ).

This option allows you to control when a message will be delivered, allowing you to write a message and send it at a later time.

From the Navigation pane, click MAIL

NOTE: For more information, refer to Sending Email Messages in Basic Email Activities.
From the Message menu, select Send Message Later

NOTE: When this option is selected, all messages being held in the Outbox will be sent. In addition, Entourage will download any new messages.
There may be times when you send a message on behalf of a group while someone else in the group should handle the responses. For example, as president of an organization, you announce an upcoming conference—but the secretary of the organization will handle inquiries and reservations received as a result of your message. Entourage allows you to forward replies to another email address.
The example used in these instructions will create a rule that forwards messages in reply to a message regarding a fall conference. For more information on creating rules, please refer to Using Rules to Organize Your Email.
