The Social Work Program offers a social work certificate within the program, the Social Work Gerontology Certificate. The certificate requires a concentration of courses and learning experiences (e.g., workshops, conferences) and a portfolio of academic products related to the certificate, meeting the standards for the certificate as defined by the University and the Department of Social Work. A notation of the certificate will appear on the student's official transcript. Only social work majors who have completed the B.S.W. degree and have met requirements for the certificate will be awarded the certificate.
