One-Chimney Houses in Eau Claire

 Central furnaces with hot water pipes became common place in the 1920s, when one-chimney houses were particularly common.  They were also common in the 1950s when forced air furnaces were used.  In these two decades they accounted for 32 percent of all such houses ever built.
