Only
the major spaces in houses are counted as rooms. Most houses have at
least three rooms: kitchen, living room, and bedroom. The number
of
rooms is not related to the size of each room but is usually related to the
size of a house. One-and two-room houses are common in the oldest parts
of Eau Claire. The variation in the number of rooms over the last 110
years can be seen by examining the four room size categories:
