Eau Claire: Percent of Population Not Reporting Ancestry - by Tract
The percentage of the population of Eau Claire who did not report their
ancestry was coded by the US 2000 Census as "not reported."-- The areas of Eau Claire with the most non-reported ancestry are centered around downtown and the University of Wisconsin - Eau Claire.
-- This pattern may be a result of the tendency of certain ethnicities to skip the section in the census questionnaire dealing with ancestry because of the desire to remain as anonymous as possible.. Also, those who live around and attend classes at the university tend not to report their ancestry because they simply aren't an appropriate representation of the community due to their being from another place.
