The areas of the Third Ward, Student Ghetto, and CBD
have the highest absolute values of poverty. A small area by
Half Moon Lake and on the east side of Exurban have the next
highest, between 300 to 500 people below poverty. It is
interesting to see that the Third Ward has a high value of people
below poverty when it also contains a high percentage of familes with an
annual income above $100,000.
The total poverty includes different racial groups, which are:
Whites,
Blacks,
Asian,
Native
Americans, Pacific
Groups, and 2+
