Third Ward: 316 Roosevelt Street
This one-door two-car garage is connected to a Split Level house of the late 1950s (in wealthier parts) and 1960s (more common then). The entrance to the house looks almost like a breezeway, but is not! Double-car garages facing the street are not common in the Third Ward with its alleyways. This is an obvious “in-fill” in this mostly 1930s section of the Third Ward. The garage door lifts up manually and rolls into the garage ceiling.
