Third Mesa Settlements

1) The U.S. census map for the area of the Third Mesa, AZ, shows the spatial context of the Hotevilla topographic map assignment. Notice that the percentage of Indians is only shown off the reservations.
2) Look at a relief map [source] that covers most of Arizona. The three prominent mesas are numbered as they appear on the Hotevilla, AZ, topographic map, which covers only the Third Mesa. Another map shows the three mesas clearly.
3) Now look at a simplified contour and relief map from Hotevila to just south of Bacabi.
4) What does a cross section from Hotevilla to Bacabi look like?
