Topographic Maps: French Canada

The topographic map assignment that deals with Vercheres, Quebec Province (1:50,000), shows very interesting things about the French Canadian landscape. The patterns of houses, barns, silos, fields, woodlands, roads, and trails are very characteristic of this landscape. Look at photos of

• a farmstead (indicated by a purple arrow on the map below),
• a row of 5 farms with silos, and
• a barn in a field, indicated on the map with an red arrow.
