Florewood
Plantation Planter's Office
Although the location of the planter's office varied, either
a small room in a quiet part of the Big House or a seperate building such
as the one at Florewood, it was off-limits to the family and was used strictly
for business. This brick building also has a brick floor.
What kinds
of things were kept here?

Answers:
- plantation records: slaves bought, born, and sold; crops planted,
yields, and land bought and sold;
- and money in a "strong box" [the building was essentially fire proof
with its brick floor]
