Florewood Plantation Overseer's House

From the planters point of view, the overseers were the most important persons on the plantations because they assured that the slaves performed the necessary work on time. Frequently, the overseers were white men; occassionally they were slaves. (The slave quarters are seen on the right-hand side.)
What evidence indicates that Forewood had a white overseer?
What is the style of this building called?
