The Altona topographic map has three distinctive
rural
settlement patterns:
1) many (at least 15) linear
Mennonite villages; 2) a clustered Hutterite
village; and
3) scattered
individual
farmsteads. Also look at the
USA-Canadian border in Manitoba.
