Las Vegas: Show "Girls"

Sexism is the systematic oppression and exploitation of people on the basis of their gender. Cultural definitions of femininity and masculinity limit the full potential of both women and men; hence, sexism is undesirable for both men and women who believe in personal and institutional liberation. Any attitude, action, or institutional practice which subordinates or limits persons on the basis of their gender is considered sexist. However, practically speaking, sexism is essentially directed and practiced by men against women.

The image of women as show "girls" and prostitutes played a central role in the saloon culture of the wild West and still does in Nevada and, particularly, in Las Vegas today.
