Tourists don't explore the "ordinary" places of Las Vegas -- places that Las Vegas shares with other U.S. cities -- but geographers do! The black population is concentrated on the northside (12 percent of Las Vegas city); indeed, largely in a separate city called North Las Vegas city (37 percent). In metropolitan Las Vegas, Blacks account for 10 percent.
