This was one of the best classes I've ever had and I'm glad I took it during one of my hardest semesters.
This course taught me so much and I thoroughly enjoyed it! You are one of the better professors I've had in a long time!
All the slides shown helped to better understand the topics.
I liked how you pushed us to learn as much as we could. I think you are a great teacher.
Good course -- taught a lot, real insight into "the way things are."
I thought this was a great course because of the instructor's knowledge and his experiences.
We covered many topics from perspectives that were never used before. The map exercises and exams are structured in such a way that the questions actually make us think and apply the concepts we've learned. The were difficult, but manageable. At times, Dr. Vogeler seemed to forget that this is a 100-level course and we're not geography majors.
Good class.
Good class ... more maps! Excellent slides -- they really add to understanding of material.
Good. I learned about alot of things that are right in my neighborhood that I didn't notice before.
I 'm very glad I took this course even though it really challenged me. I thought it would be a sluff course but you proved different.
Explain the maps better! Don't go through notes so fast!
Zelinski [textbook] was very difficult to understand. Talk about it in class.
The maps really helped me understand how culture affects the landscape. The supplemental reading was useful also.
Not a bad course at all. Everything was great, no improvements should be made.
Excellent. I really enjoyed the class. It opened my mind and made me examine my own beliefs and perceptions more thoroughly. It was tough course, but I really feel that I got a lot out of it.
A lot of work for a 100 level course. I liked the idea of incorporating Netscape [web] into the course.
The instructor did a good job in lecture and I enjoyed the reinforcement with the Web pages. They helped a lot.
The map assignments give "hands-on" experience--helps to understand.
Interesting material, well-organized lectures, use of slides very helpful. I learned to look at many things in a totally new perspective.
If I had a question I could email Vogeler and get an answer in a matter of hours.
Teaching style is very honest, open-minded and with good sense of humor.
Web pages are very good and helpful.
