Cajun Country Music: Cajun, Zydeco, and Jazz

Zydeco music
is distinctive to southwestern Louisiana where it developed from a blend of African-American and African-French music traditions. Zydeco music is related to Cajun music, which developed from the French, but its Caribbean rhythms and urban blues and jazz influences sets it apart from Cajun music.
