Assignment Due
Dates
We will
use the topographic maps listed below, 10 copies of which are located at the
UWEC
checkout counter in the library. Use the appropriate
periodical titles for each map.
Note that
three "map" assignments do not use the topographic
sheets in the library; use the appropriate sources.
Be
sure you have the map assignments completed by the dates listed
and bring them to class on the due date. If you can't be in class on
the due dates, give the instructor the assignments BEFORE
class so that
they can be graded in class. We will correct these
assignments in class. If a 30-point project,
for example, is handed in late, it receives 0 points; if it is not handed in at
all, it receives -30 points. Late and missing assignments
will significantly lower your map assignment average and therefore your overall
grade.

and don't miss assignments!
To look at very small sections
of the topographic maps found at the UWEC library
checkout counter, go to Topozone, select Get a
Map, type in a place name on the map, then scroll to where
you
want to look, and select 1:25,000 in the top menu bar -- the
most detailed scale.
For the topographic map exercises, you will still
need to use the paper maps on Reserve
or use electronic ones for the
U.S. only.
