| Sintra, a UNESCO site, sits on the northern slope of the granite Serra, among wooded ravines and springs. This was a favorite retreat for the kings of Portugal since the 13th century. A Moorish designed spring is still used to fill water bottles. The post office resembles a castle itself. Many 19th-century villas dot the surrounding hills -- shown on the video. | ||
