Cesky Krumlov is one of Europe's most beautiful towns built on a peninsula on a meander of the Vltava River overlooked by a castle and chateau with a garden (second largest castle after Prague; was rebuilt in the 16th-17th centuries. The town was first mentioned in 1253, and frequently rebuilt and added onto throughout the centuries, reflected in its many styles of architecture.
