Renowned authors and experts come to campus each year to address accessibility issues for people living with disabilities. The event was established by Dr. Katherine Schneider, psychologist emerita and author, who has been blind since birth. Celebrating the life of Blugold alumna and legendary White House reporter Ann Devroy, the annual forum brings award-winning journalists to campus to discuss events of the day with students and community. The Martin Mogensen Education Lecture Series
This lecture series and teacher education outreach was established by the family of Martin Mogensen '52, a teacher and principal who became one of the first victims of a school shooting in the U.S. The series and a student scholarship celebrate Mogensen's life's work an the field of education.
