softball celebrationChampions on and off the field

The Blugold Women's Softball team has made five appearances in the NCAA regional tournament last decade, and in 2008, won the Division III National Softball Championship. In the preseason poll, Blugold Women's Softball has ranked as high as second in the nation and coaches are recognized nationally by their peers. Annually, several members of the team receive national academic honors.

Compared to the most successful programs in the conference,UW-Eau Claire is short on coaches, recruiting budget, travel compensation for early spring training and equipment improvements. You can help take the financial load off of players and coaches who are making sacrifices for the love of the game.

How to support our program

All gifts will be directed by the UW-Eau Claire Foundation to the Women's Softball Fund. This will ensure that your gifts will be tax-deductible to the fullest extent of the law.  This also allows anyone who works for a matching gift company to use her corporate match as part of her commitment. Designate your gifts as: Women's Softball (456).

Jersey Challenge

Find out about the UW-Eau Claire women's softball Jersey challenge, a fun fundraising effort connecting alumni players with current student athletes who today wear the same number on their backs. The objective is to secure annual funding to underwrite the expenses of every player. Non-players who wish to support this friendly competition can make a gift using the Give Now button at right. Thank you for supporting Blugold Athletics.

give now

"We chose to make our gift to help build the softball endowment because we want to give back to a program that has given our daughter more than just sports. Blugold Women's Softball has given her confidence that she can do anything if she is willing to work hard."

- Chris and Ellen Acker, parents of a four-year member of the Blugold Women's Softball team
